    THE CHALLENGE

Park Garage Group PLC required an ultra-rapid EV charging solution at one of their Blackpool forecourt sites, capable of serving high-throughput commercial and consumer traffic. The existing electrical infrastructure was insufficient to support 3x 480kW DC chargers, and the project needed to be delivered with minimal disruption to ongoing fuel retail operations.

    OUR APPROACH

Spiral Renewables managed the full project lifecycle — from initial feasibility and grid capacity assessment through to DNO application, civil groundworks, electrical installation, and commissioning of 3x 480kW DC chargers.

We coordinated directly with the DNO to secure the required power supply, designed the site layout to maximise charging bays while maintaining forecourt traffic flow, and managed all civil and electrical contractors under a single delivery programme.

    THE OUTCOME

The site was delivered on time and on budget, providing 3x 480kW DC ultra-rapid EV charging capability to one of Blackpool's busiest forecourt locations. Park Garage Group now has a future-proofed site ready to scale as EV adoption accelerates.
