Depot Charging Grants, Timelines, and What to Prepare
Grant windows, DNO capacity conversations, and the information that gets a fleet depot to a firm quote quickly.
Grant approval for depot charging schemes typically runs on a defined window, and the projects that move quickest are the ones with a clean information pack from day one.
What we need to quote
Ideally: site address and postcode, current supply details, intended use case, target capacity and load, and any planning or landlord constraints. With that, we can size the connection, model the phasing, and confirm whether the DNO route or an ICP contestable route is faster.
If the DNO says no capacity
Often the project still runs — through load management, on-site battery buffering, or a staged rollout. Capacity refusal is rarely the end of the project. We are not tied to specific charger brands, so we specify to fit the depot rather than to fit a hardware catalogue.
